Hi all, hope everyone is staying warm this week! Even though icicles are forming on my fingertips as I type this, it’s important to get out to support our local businesses and to have our voices heard at our town meetings regardless of the temps. So let’s bundle up and get out there this week (and be thankful we don’t live somewhere even more frigid).
I also learned about a couple interesting arts-related things this week:
Palisade is in the running for USA Today’s Best Small Town Arts Scene. You can vote for our town here.
Wendy Videlock shared some info about a new and exciting festival being held this March. All-access tickets are available until February 7th for a four-day literary festival in Palisade on March 6th-9th: Warblers, Howlers and Minstrels: a festival for writers, readers and life-long learners taking place at The Ordinary Fellow Winery and The Blue Pig Gallery, featuring adventure writer Craig Childs, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer of Placerville, Native writer CMarie Fuhrman, poet laureate of Western Colorado, Wendy Videlock and many more. Find out more at: Warblers, Howlers & Minstrels
If you want to be sure your event is included in the weekly listing or if you have any feedback, you can reach me at palisadeweeklycalendar@substack.com.
Cheers!
